As suggested in GREY SCALE FOR DUMMIES under topic COLOUR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM using EYE ONE DISPLAY LITE sensor with the 100% white window the contrast was set for a light output of 40ft lambert. The corresponding Y value was 147.Using 100% red window the colour was supposed to be adjusted to get Y value which should be 21% of above Y value of 147 ie 31.47.But this could not be achieved even by increasing the colour to its maximum value. The television that i was calibrating was a 26" samsung lcd. Will be grateful if you tell me where i am going wrong. The patterns were from AVS HD 720 colour hcfr window pattern.Thank you.

The % target is really a bad idea. The % depends on accurate chromaticity, otherwise you have to recalculate your % target.

Recommend you stick to using colorbars properly which is reliable and accurate.

I don't recommend setting user color 'saturation' using this % method unless you know what you are doing and you have an accurate meter to verify accurate display chromaticity which your meter is not.
