Can these boards be replaced without problems or is there some kind of set-up required. I thought I read somewhere that these require calibration when changed.

I have some more leaking caps on mine and it will be a week or so before my cap order comes in. I have three other boards from other 6 and 9PG plains and want to swap it out to be able to use the projector in the mean time until the original board is fully re-capped.

Any problems in that.

The other option I thought of is to take some caps off the spare boards and just replace those with new when the order comes in also. Sort of want to avoid that if I can. I hate doing crap twice.

It might needed that calibration, but there are only a very few people who knows what to do with it, if you touch those pots it will be JUST worse it is guaranteed.
I don't recommend to tinker with those old caps, be patient and wait those the new caps.

Hey, it is not that bad, just put in one of those boards, maybe it won't be perfect (the color balance), but it will work until the caps will arrive.

Some boards will swap with minimal gray scale shift, but most will be a mile off.

I guess I will try and swap some of them in and out. Maybe I will get lucky. If not I will have to deal with not watching movies.........

Thanks guys.
