I have a chance to get a Runco Multifilm video processor, and I was wondering if it would be compatible with a CRT projector since its made to go with runco DLP PJs...

No.
Do not trust ANYTHING labeled with the "Runco" name plate to work with ANYTHING but the exact projector it was sold with. Some are generic, and will work with anything, but some of the ones originally meant for digital projectors are set up to ONLY work with those projectors. I speak from having owned one of those processors, which wouldn't even turn on unless it was connected via serial cable to the projector it was originally sold with.
Also, don't expect Runco to offer ANY support whatsoever, they're a company concerned ONLY with the initial sale, once it leaves their "factory" and is paid for, they couldn't care less about it.

Tom, I need a scaler/video processor for my NEC XG so I can properly set it up to have no raster banding.. At least thats what I thought they were used for, maybe I am wrong :\

Tom, I wish I could, but I honestly don't know the correct technical term to describe it. I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them so you can all see what I am talking about.
