|
|
I got a set of PT18-244 tubes in barco LC mount, and it came with HD-114-Q lenses I found that this is for LC , but what about the throwing distance (and quality)? This is a very small and short lens (compared to a HD-6) is this mean that this is a short throw lens (needs less distance to project the same picture size than "stock" lenses)?
If you wish I can share photos about it.

Hello,
and thanks for the lenses offered in the other post.
I have the 114q´s. They have come with one 117-12 one green. So they must be for ssmallscreens like the 117-12. The 117-12 is rated for screen sizes up to 1,8 meters. But I have good information that the 117-12 is good for 2,7 meters width(AVS)! The 117-12/24 (24´are for big screens) do very high resolutions. They are used with todays VDC´s on 8" LC machines. So they are 1:1 throw for the 114/117-12 and 1:1.1 for the 117-24. I nerver tested the 114s, but I can if you like! Let me know what you want to know.
It took me one year to get the 117-24s, but if you are lucky....
Or you get Sony G70/NEC XG C-Elements (I also look for clear ones - I have filtered ones) plus HD18 or HD134 lenses, and use them with your tubes.
Where did you get those tubes from? A Retro? Good condition/worse the project?
Regards
Marc

Actually it came with PT18-244 tubes in barco retro LC chassis, at the moment the HD-117-12 is missing for the green, but the place where I get this is full of junk so sooner or later it will turn up. (or not then the whole plan sucks )
Anyway the tubes will not be mine, I'm was just entrusted to buy these tubes for the owner of a BG808 with 20k tubes... since the these tubes are LC he is playing with the thought that he would convert the machine to LC, but not at all costs. Fortunately that guy have very little space for his projector (with HD8-s) and has only a 180cm (70") wide screen, so these lenses could be very handy for this situation...
