Paul,

Thanks, I should have delved more deeply into the advanced procedures for tube replacement. I was doing searches for "bellows" and "bellows replacement" and all I was coming up with was Dragan's and Athanasios' steps, which do not show the syringe technique or the location of the drain/fill holes (which of course are fairly easy to figure out).

Thanks!

Steve

yeah, if you are going to throw the old bellows away just cut them and catch the old glycol in a tank.
that is what i did and it is of course by far the quickest.
the new bellows do not need any kit to attach to the lc housing, they are fine with me for over a year now.

Thanks - I was looking to be a little less messy, so I used the tube/syringe method for evacuating the bellows first.

You didn't use any RTV silicone, did you?

Thanks,

Steve

Yep No silicone used anywhere. Going on almost 2 years, no leaks. I got my bellows even before the were for sale through here. Shocked

Make sure you wash the bellows with water to remove any traces of the release agent used during manufacture.

Excellent. Yes, hacking way the old RTV is quite the chore.

Good advice on washing off the mold release.
