OK, got one that stumped me. A customer that is THIS >< close to buying a sound system at me for a longish (70') X 40' hall says that he wonders if he can get a wireless volume control. It's a single channel mono commercial sound system, approx $5K.

I can quote him a wired remote volume control in the hall, but he wants wireless.

My first thought is IR, but I think they'd need a number of repeaters to get reasonable pickup in all areas of the hall.

So, I think it would have to be RF. SHort of a Crestron control system that would add $100s to the bill, is there anyone that makes a standalone RX/TX for just a volume control? I don't know of anything..
