Hi, i got a question:
I adustet all coils of the HDM, so that the convergence AMP has not much to do via highband resolution and lowband resolution.
The Problem is, that the HDM is running very hot, when it switches to the highband (Full HD 50Hz P).
After 20minutes i got picture falures (then i switched of)
Has the setting of the Deflection coils a big influence on the temperature?
On 75Hz I it runns only handwarm.

Check the belly fans. If one dies, then the HDM will run hot. You can see all of the belly fans by pulling out the focus and HDM boards, then turn the set on to see if they run.

The fan Speed is lowered. Ok i know its NOT a good idea, but its the only way i can enjoy watching films.
The Problem is, that the heat dissapation is at least twotimes as high as in lowband mode. And between 74khz and 52khz is not a world of difference? So when there is a direct influence of "work for the HDM" and "Coil inductance" ill should adjust it again.
The silly thing was, that i had to pull out nearly all of those ferrite screws.

Which fans are running lower speed? E-Tech has a very effective noise mod for the lvps with no reduction of airflow.

The Bellyfans.
I am thinking about a speedcontrol wich is controlled by the HDM relays. But first i'd like to check if the coils are badly trimmed. Is the H-deflektion some circuit which runs in resonance?

build a hushbox instead, lowering air flow is a bad idea like you said.
or get the mods from tim.
