Craig -
Thanks for the invite.
I am checking with the house CEO.
We have a dinner that night, so I'll see if I can make it down there.
I'll get back to you as things firm up.
Also, thanks for the troubleshooting on the Lumagen Radiance XE issue.

Hope you make it out Mike. Don't forget, this goes from noon to 4:00 so you should be able to make it home easily for dinner. You don't have to stay for the whole thing.

I have to say that my eyes could never really perceive the 3D effect before with the el-cheapo blue and red glasses. Well, at Craig's today, my eyes didn't have ANY problems perceiving the effect!!!!! It was absolutely frickin' AMAZING!!!!! I thought it was extremely immersive and realistic. For me, it was VERY difficult to see ANY ghosting at all. There's no way when sitting down to watch a movie that you would be drawn to it since the movie sucks you in so well. It took Craig pointing out a few things for me to even notice. I felt that the image was PLENTY bright enough on the single G90 and it did exactly what it was supposed to...........IMPRESS THE HELL OUT OF ME!!!! What was great, was hearing other attendees say how much better Avatar looked on Craig's than when they viewed it at the IMAX.
The crazy thing is, Craig says it will still be better once he gets the changes to the firmware he requested!!! In all honesty, I wasn't too crazy about 3D prior this meet. I could take it or leave it. But after today, I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE IT INSTALLED INTO MY SETUP. My wife is going to freak out.
Thanks so much to you and your wife for opening up your home to us. The Hospitality was incredible and Wallace's BBQ was OFF THE HOOK!!!!
Thanks for everything!!!
Doc

Thanks Craig for a great show.

Wallace is on the way back home competition smoker in tow!!!!!!
Man I gotta tell you guys, Craig just keeps upping the Ante everytime I see his setup. The 3D performance yesterday was STELLAR to say the least. This dude is no joke and I CANNOT WAIT to finish off my setup and if it is 90 percent the performance of his I will be EXTREMELY HAPPY!

It sounds like 3D looks pretty good on a CRT. Hopefully, Craig will have a meet for Cedia. Any pics?

Thanks everybody for coming out
It was rather fun to finally show off all the hard work I've put in over the past months getting the 3D up and running. I'm really glad everyone seemed to have a nice time and enjoyed seeing the setup and technology that goes into it all.
Doc, thanks for making the haul up with that G90 for me.
Wallace thanks for bring that amazing BBQ and thanks even more for leaving the leftovers for me. I wrapped up piles of it in wax paper before freezing so that I can take out one or two meals worth at a time.
Thanks for bringing the Owl's movie Cliff. V and I watch it last night and man that is a cool and beautiful 3D movie. I wish we had dropped it in while everyone was here. Might be my favorite looking animated 3D at this point.
Thanks Mike for bringing Christmas Carol, I'll watch that soon.
Thanks again everyone for coming and thanks for the nice compliments. V and I had a great time.
And sorry to those who did not attend... we never got around to taking pictures

Craig and Virginia
Had a great time at your meet. Thank you for your hospitality. The food was good and Don's barbecue was excellent as always. 3D seems well worth having. I was especially impressed with Avatar and Step Up. I was wondering today how college and pro basketball might look in 3D. The day has me thinking about some possible modifications to my theater.

I'd love to get 3D for gaming. Unfortunately my 1272 and HDF1 are barely able to handle 720p120 I think. If anybody gets a similar combo working please let us know.

Just wanted to thank you for opening your doors on Saturday. Rebecca and I we're talking about it and we went in thinking 3D was just a gimmick, but after seeing your set up and how well you had it dialed and.....3D is without a doubt...AWESOME. Great job.
Thanks for the BBQ Don and it was good putting faces to avatars.

Sounds like everyone was impressed
My shipment of drivers to Seaton wont be there till mid week so I would have had made the trip to chicago 2 weekends in a row
I might have to send you a PM to see if its possible to stop by this weekend and check it out

It might be possible, depends on the work schedule. Shoot me an email Thursday evening or Friday and I can let you know one way or the other.

I also wish I could have made it since I live 'pretty close' (central WI). But I just had foot surgery (fixing fallen arches) on March 18 and travel is out until at least the middle of April. It's good to hear that the G90 is up to the task. I was hoping there would be some 3D pictures posted of the event .
