Had a long 3 full days driving to Florida to pick it up (weather was beautiful!!!). 17 hours each way!
Got home and pulled the green and blue lens. Some 16x9 image wear, but good centered wear. I would say between a 7 & 8 on Curts scale. I couldn't get decent pics of the tubes, but will once inside. Came with remote, nice power cable and factory manuals. Very clean.
I would say it is about the same wear as this listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-VPH-G90U-CRT-Projector-/260730774471?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb4c3e3c7
1783 hours. For the wear, my displayed image will be well within the current wear, so I am very happy. The guy had it hooked up to a bd player and the pic looked great; even with the light on in the room.
Now, I gotta figure out how to get thing up on the ceiling.

If you and Clarence need help hoisting that bad boy onto the ceiling, let me know and I'll swing by.

Naw, just to Tampa/St. Pete. The wifey is even considering moving back after just the 1 day. That wont happen until we retire.

Funny, cause the guy that had it before me was most likely the original owner as I got the original factory manuals. The guy that sold it to me said the owner had it mounted on a hydraulic lift that would drop down from inside the ceiling.

You are darn straight I'll need some help. Heck, I can't even get it out of the truck!
Clarence,
If you do have a mount, let me know what you want for it. Also, if you have time, this Thursday, Friday, or weekend, let me know if you could help me get this thing downstairs. Then maybe, help me figure out the best method for hanging it.
This is really painful knowing that pj is in the truck and I can't even mess with it...............

Wagyu beef!!!! It dont get any better!!!

Wallace, what Wagyu beef do you use/prefer? I got to taste a couple of tiny pieces from Nebraska at the annual restaurant, and hospitality tradeshow in Amsterdam last month, I must admit I didn't rate it highly enough to consider the 90 euro plus tax per kilo pricetag for a complete tenderloin. Morgan Ranch wet ages the fresh meat for thirty days, to then freeze it and ship it to Europe three times a year, defrosting the beef prior to sale here in Europe. There are a few Wagyu farms here in Europe, so fresh, non-frozen, Wagyu should be available here, but have no idea as to current pricing from these sources, wether it would be more or less than this US beef.

The beef I got was a birthday present from the wifey. Not sure where it came from, but she purchased it from a store chain here called Wegmans. We tried the New York Strip steaks. Very, very good and tasty beyond what I had thought.
At $55.00 per pound, we wont be eating it too often; almost like never??? Only for special occasions.
Funny, cause last year we were able to get USDA Prime New York Strip steak in the whole slab for $9.00 per pound. That was almost as good as the Wagyu.
I am sure we will try the Wagyu again, but I will probably try another store to purchase it from.

Six – 12oz D’Artagnan Kobe Style, American Wagyu New York Strip Steaks
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagy%C5%AB
wa means "Japanese" and gyū means "cow"
In the United States, Japanese wagyū cattle were bred with Angus cattle to create a crossbred animal that would be more able to survive the U.S. climate and ranching methods. The meat of this crossbreed was more marketable to the American buyer. To the American buyer, the meat of the Wagyū cow was "too white." The meat of the crossbreed provided the balance of marbling and red meat desired by American buyers.

My kids love those. Put one in the microwave, a squirt of A1 on top, cover with a paer plate so it doesn't splatter too much. Nuke for 8 minutes. Mmmm.
If you don't have time for a steak, they have Wagyu burgers too (they only take about 4 minutes in the microwave)...

In all seriousness, I'm more interested in the skirt steak and tri-tip...
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11607494
It only works out to $20/lb... not too bad, really.
I love me a good tri-tip... Santa Maria rub... one of my favorite feasts from when we lived in CA. You're from Santa Barbara... I bet your BBQ touch would be pure magic. And I could whip up some tasty fajitas with the skirt steak.

Yep. Santa Barbara is where I first had Tri-Tip. Susie Q's Brand Santa Maria spice, along with some Worcestershire sauce, let sit for a few hours, grill fast and hot, then cook a little longer on lower heat. Rare is done!
And skirt steak, that's the only thing to use for Fajitas!
I would be sweating and shaking thinking I might screw up the cook with that good (and pricey) beef. But, thanks for hooking me up with the link. I might very well try some.
I also wanted to try something from Lobels, but they are even more expensive.
