As some of you know, I'm putting together a high def surveillance system for my shop. I'll network a computer to view live and recorded video. I hooked a single 2MP camera to a fairly new HP generic desktop and it couldn't keep up. The video was latent and would freeze, even at lower resolutions and frame rates.

So I have to build a computer that can handle what I need to do. The first thing I thought I would try is adding a video card to the HP (it has a video card on the motherboard) to see if that makes a difference.

What video card do you recommend?
