Hi Tom,

No..sorry I don't..I visited their factory two or three times...the first time I was given the 'grand tour'..and the factory floor was huge...with a very large part of items made right there on the factory floor in Kuurne...

Their set -up was Very..Very different to the VDC set-up...it was super modern,,,all boards run through flow soldering machines...tubes were put together in house, so perhaps the quads etc were manufactured right there in Kuurne?

There were row upon row of super modern machinery...I was really surprised ...

Are you trying to say VDC is a little antiquated? Maybe they are the Rocky to Ivan Drago. Laughing

I'm not so much saying they are a little antiquated....but last week they had a breakout of Woodworm Laughing

In reality of course it means very little, and VDC is made up of many sections strewn all over the States..Barco seemed to just control the CRT side of the company under one roofspace.

It's such a shame the Marquee didn't get any revisions and updates through it's lifespan.other than the Ultra..and ignoring the 8000/9000 series.

Imagine if they had pushed on a little further, a la' Barco and the Cine 9....I love the Marquees though..dang..I love em all Embarassed

Oh, oh, I got one. VDC's building is so old it makes Mr. Burns look young!Smile

Scott explained it to me once that he has spent most of his time the last decade just trying to keep the performance where it was. Unfortunately (according to Scott), there weren't any new parts for CRTs coming to market. It would have been nice to see another decade of innovation going to CRT.

VDC still does some revisions on boards depending on what customers are looking for/Willing to par for.

Some Boards Scot wishes he could redesign but its not up to him.

the peaking circuit on the VIM ups pixel clock ability to 240mhz

I love my 2004 vintage marquee's .

Still want a barco and NEC to complete my collection, well maybe the rare mitsubishi VS1282 a well.

Walt

...How about I use the power of suggestion ..NLP etc.to plant the desire seed into nash's mind..and we scramble a bunch of 'must have' Pj's.... Very Happy

He need's 9500 Ultra's anyway, got 1 here...and a Retro..you got the Onyx...the Sharks are still circling around Spanky's raft of Cine 9's how about when he Spanky goes under again..we hit him with a low-ball offer whilst he's weak and gasping for air...lungs filling up with Sea-water..

We can then tell Nash..Paired longbow's are 'SO YESTERDAY'..and 4x Cine 9's are so the set up to have......we pocket the money.. Very Happy

Yep, a 12' wide Dalite 1.3 gain 1.78 aspect. Its still up above my new screen(roll up).

the new screen is 13'wide 2.4 aspect, but the blend right now is only on 12' of it till I convert the 8500's to 9500LC's
and move them to fit the 13 footer. Very Happy

Walt...looks like we got em cornered, but with Nash and Spanky getting 'together' we may even be able to chat their wives up whilst we count out the money..we could lock the door whilst they play with the 8" & 9" Shocked

But seriously...Nash..looks like you have quite a collection there..of tubes and PJ's....I tried for years to find a way to get them to breed...oh the thought...Marquee..G90..Barco offspring...the perfect PJ Exclamation
