|
|
Hi I need some help with calibrating a Runco Dlp Projector . I have A Video Standard from joe Kane the 1990 version .I am running a Marantz Laserdisc Player Model LV-520 . I'm fine with my blu-ray/dvd player colors are ok , The colors are wrong for the laserdisc player . I understand the laserdisc is analog and the Projector is digital , So thats why I am encountering Problems . I need some help on how to adjust the colors and contrast and black levels . I tried to use the disc , but found it very hard to understand . I seen on the internet that a person was talking about a box called dvdo Iscan . I am told this will fix my problem with my laserdisc player . I want to get the colors in the proper sync so the picture looks like I remember when I had a laserdisc player when I use to own a CRT Television .
If anyone can give me some pointers I'm all for it after all I'm very new to this calibration disc and never used one before . I'm sure I can do it . I just need some help from someone that Know how to use it . Like I said I own A video Standard from Joe Kane . I understand that there was a version from avia that was more user friendly for the average consumer . I think the problem is the projector being Digital and the laserdisc player is analog . The type of picture I also get is a washed out or granny like picture or more like little white type of boxes in the white or bright sun light scenes . The picture dont look right when they focus the camera on them . So I would like some help to correct this problem I am having with the picture .
So if you can pass me some help I really would appreciate . If for some reason you need more info please email me .
thank You
dave

We need to know your signal paths. How are you running the BR player to the projector, and how are you running the laserdisc to the projector? What inputs does the DLP have?

Well I running the laserdisc player to the projector direct from its output . The Blur-ray player Im running from My Marantz receiver to the dlp projector . I tried to run the laserdisc player thru the receiver but the signal was worse . So Im running direct to the Runco dlp projector . Im not using any type of line doubler or anything like that . I eyeballed the picture and it looks ok but should be better . Im not a pro at this so I need some pointers on how to properly calibrate the the Runco DLP DR-300 projector . Thats the model I own . If you can help I thank you .

Sorry, you've provided nowhere near enough detail in order for us to help. WHAT cable connection are you using out of the laserdisc? What inputs does the Runco have? Can you post a picture of the input panel? What connections are you running from the BR player to the projector? Component? DVI? HDMI? Svideo? Composite video?

Im running s-video for the laserdisc and component video for the blu-ray player . The runco has component , composite , and s-video input to it . I cant post a picture of the Runco Projector Because I would have to take it down .
