Hello there.
I have a strange problem with my HDfury1.
Its connected to a Barco 708 data projector on RGBHV and the DVI takes its source from HD-DVD player and a Panasonic Blu-ray player. I can play 720p on both machines. I can sometimes play 1080i from the HD-DVD player but not from the blu-ray player. The blu-ray player will set up on 1080p and it looks great, running at 50 hz. I can view AVCHD files that are 1080p, but when I put in a blu-ray disc it switches to 60hz and the picture goes weird and blurry. I can't do this at all with the HD-DVD which will only allow me 1080i (again not always) and 720p.
I tried a shorter hdmi cable of 5 metres and the hdfury has a power supply. The RGBHV goes through a amplifier box first to provide a buffer for the HDfury to protect it as I ruined one earlier by not doing so.
The Barco 708 seems to be ok on 1080p at 50hz. It looks perfectly alright. 1080i is fine too. But 60hz doesn't work and more importantly the 1080i mode is intermittent, but better if I use a short HDMI cable and a long RGBHV cable.
Any ideas? Would a better HDfury cure this or should I just not bother and go with component from the blu-ray player and a converter?

Thanks a lot!

Jake
