Another benefit to the HDMI board over the DVI board is that it can support YCbCr 444 and 422 instead of just RGB like DVI. This is a huge advantage because with YCbCr 422 you get full 10-bit compressed colors and this translates to more colors being produced. The image looks much more realistic.

I almost bought one of these when they were last offered for my NEC XG 110LC. At the time money was a bit tight. Now I've got some extra cash in pocket and would definitely put down for a card if it meets my needs. I'm slowly preparing to move up to BluRay. Just upgraded the video card to one with an HDMI output. DVD player would be next.

I currently use an HTPC for content and run it at 960P (4:3 format), 72 Hz. When I originally set up the projector, I tried 60 Hz, but found 72 Hz to be superior. I watch all movie content at 72 Hz with TheaterTek as the front end. However, whenever I watch tv within Windows XP MCE 2005, it always resets the frequency to 60 Hz. I've never been able to override that and keep it at 72 Hz.

Anyway, I'm just wondering if the Moome HDMI input card also runs at 72Hz, or does it have to be at 60Hz intervals?

Thanks,
Craigo

Any benefits/drawbacks to this vs. an HDFury?

kal,

I need to make a decision soon. Either the Moome card or a HDFury.

Can you give an update on if or when we could see a new batch?

Thanks

Moome has brought back the NEC XG-FULLHD HDMI 1.3 card in limited quantities.
It is now available for pre-order for $50 off and is estimated to ship April 15, 2011.
To pre-order and reserve yours before they sell out, see: http://www.curtpalme.com/NEC_XG-FULLHD.shtm

Thanks Kal.

I'm not trying to be a pain, but I thought I should point out that the regular & sale price will still need to be updated on this page: http://www.curtpalme.com/Products.shtm#Moome

Kal

Looks good to me. Smile

I know form experience that it's hard work maintaining a site like this with lots of different areas. You guys do a nice job.

Thanks,
