I would say the other products already sold here draw in other than just CRT enthusiasts.

Yes, but I think their complaint was that it was due to LACK of moderation. I know I stirred the pot over there once in a while, questioning things like the validity of $10K interconnects and such, but I tried to do it intelligently. What always got me over there was that SOME tweaks were apparently completely valid, but others were a crock.

I think it comes down to some people, even if they are highly intelligent, want to spend their disposable income in the hobby of their choice, even if there is no scientific validity.

Owning an Ampro should be enough...Owning one that allegedly works....That's even more of a reason.

Way to go John.
Ahhh wait I mean, not they way to go. My wife just came in and I had to defend that there was this picture on the screen, I swear honey all I'm doing is checkin out whether or not to leave the P/J plugged in when the new tubes go in.
I really didn't know this picture would be here, honest.
Honey where're you goin? Honey? But I swear it didn't say NSFW, how could I know?
Honey? Honey?
It's funny because it's true

Who is AB? |
Aussie Bob - he hung out a lot in the 2.35:1 CIH forum discussing anamorphic lens design. He is REALLY smart on that stuff...designed his own lens that appears to be legitimate optical competition for the Isco 3. I guess the powers that be didn't like the quite objective comparison (lots of measurments and useful metrics) that GetGrey did between the Isco and AB's lens, because AB's did quite well at a lower price point. Losing him is going to be a major loss of extensive knowledge for the forum. |
Why not get that dude over here with a Curtpalme.com discount on the lens?!
Get on it Kal!
 |
Does he actually have a product he's selling? Got a link?
Kal

Don't confuse the forum regulars with the products we sell. Most people who bought something from CurtPalme.com are not registered users or CRT projector owners.
Like always, if anyone sees any interesting products email me at kal@curtpalme.com or PM me with info and I'll contact them to see if it's something we could carry here. My biggest criteria is that it be a GOOD product and that the seller be respectable/honest.
Kal

Kal
Here's the link to the website, and I've sent a p.m to them via DTV Forum linking to this thread. Seems like a great alternative to the Isco III
at a better price range.
