Hi,

Do I have the possibility to peer the ChromaPur with Radiance XS to auto-calibrate with ChromaPur?

Thanks
Cheers

Yes, but it's not ready yet.

Licensing for DVDO Duo and Lumagen Radiance auto-calibrate is in the works.

This is a ChromaPure feature, not a Radiance feature. The Radiance does not change.

Auto-calibrate will let Duo and Radiance owners click a button in ChromaPure and have their display be calibrated completely automatically. This is true automated calibration. It's really that simple!

The feature will be FREE for ChromaPure Pro users. It will be an optional upgrade (at a cost) for ChromaPure Standard users. For more information see: http://www.curtpalme.com/ChromaPure.shtm

Great to hear that Lumagen will be also supported!!!

One additional question. Can I use for now the internal Lumagen Test pattern with ChromaPur or do I have to use a separate BluRay for this?

You may use any test pattern source you like.

Sorry maybe you missunderstand what I asked.

Can I control the testpattern from the radiance via ChromaPur or is this only possible if the "auto calibrate add on" will be released?

Yes, the pattern will change automatically. I have not used CP in a month but I did get it to work.

Sorry - I did misunderstand. Nashou is right: You can automate the advancement if test patterns today. This is not what I'd call "automatic calibration" (although some companies like to call it that). It's only automatic advancement of the test pattern which only saves you a few minutes of time but doesn't help with the complexities of actual calibration.

When ChromaPure comes out with true 100% automated calibration it is said it will be 100% automated. And by that I mean, you put the probe on the display, you connect the laptop or computer to the Radiance or Duo video processor, launch ChromaPure and click ONE BUTTON. Chromapure then runs through showing patterns, taking readings, writing adjustments to the Duo or Radiance, re-taking readings, etc.

At the end you turn off the PC and disconnect from the Radiance or Duo and have a completely calibrated display. Nothing else needs to be done.

Pretty cool!
