I'm sure they didn't completely re-design the machine in 1995 just because they were bored and needed something to do.

I don't quite agree. Much of the circuitry in the 8500/9500 is very similar to the original 8000/9000, but the flip down heatsink makes servicing a lot easier, and as Dragan has said, there were a bunch of mods done to the 9000 boards that were automatically incorporated into the later versions.
It's the same reason I don't buy anything that is version 1, be it a car or electronics. They don't get the bugs out until the product has been on the market for 2-3 years.

I spend the half of my day with checking the bulettins for updates, and I realized that the very most of them already made (by factory?) on the 9000... The HVPS is exactly the same 34,9kV type as for the FCM also the newer (50-2034-02P) and also the HDM (50-2003-07p) in both machines. The main differencies the CVM VDM VIMs but on the older boards the available mods/updates had already done.

Today I played a little with the 7500. I swapped the CLM and VIM boards between the two machines and I was surprised when I saw that the swapping does not have any effect to chassis informations, and hourcount. Just for curiosity: where are these infos stored in the set?
How can I step backwards in the menu when I'm in a sub menu?

On an eeprom on the circuit board underneath the horizontal and focus modules. Back-plane board I think where all the cards plug into (CLM, VIM, etc) Hour counter is also stored on it.

600-650 ml per tube, 2 liter is sufficient for 3 tubes.
its a mix of glycol and glycerol, do not fill with glycol alone.
75% ethyleen or propyleenglycol and 25% glycerol.

The new bellows are on way, so I started to disassemble the LC housings. Someone tried to solve the glycol leakage problem with silicone  So thanks for this the C-element won't come out from the front housing and this applies to the big black ring, there is a little gap between the edge of the C-element and the metal ring. What should I do? How hard should I try to strain that ring off (eg. with a flat screwdriver)?

easiest thing to do is to just cut through the old bellow as you wont be re using it, this way the front assembly on which the lens is attached comes loose and you can easily unbolt the black plate that holds the c element and carefully cut the c element from the bellow with a razor blade or some other flexible and very sharp knife.
the new bellows (i assume they come from nash) do not need any kit so they can be re used at a later date.
edit: its not advisable to flush the old glycol through the sink it should be disposed of via the correct channels, this is what my friends from greenpeace just whispered in my ear  .

Ok, the new bellows have arrived for the 9000. Beside I have a serious arcing on the blue tube I let it run (of course without blue HV attached) and noticed one thing. I am playing now only with internal patterns, and after a half an hour or so the green tube faded out (only red remained) without any noticeable noise, The heating worked for all tubes. Then turned off the machine and back on, and the green worked again. What could this be?
