Ok so I am really going to do it. Blending that is.

So to use the full tube face on two Marquee 9500 L/C machines what is the minimum screen size I will need. I'm thinking of using a P/C with something like this to drive the outputs

Yes I've gone nuts.

Ahh C'mon, I've gotten much better over the last 2 years. I know how to put in bellows, tubes, and take out all of the boards and re-install them ....and it still works Thumbs Up

Ok so I am still re-potting the tubes, but I had them out for the bellows....

So there Wink

LOL, well be prepared for a very long, time consuming, patience testing, calibration learning, new problem solving and overall learning curve. !!

Or you can Hire Ken Whitcomb to set it up like William K did. Very Happy

Yeah, I'm leaning in that direction, sort of.

Any way are you using all of your phosphor? The full 4x3 of the tubes?

Pretty close to it, you never really do since the blend side is faded so its more like a 3.5x3 area Wink

With edge matching you would, I was going to attempt this just to see how close i could get, now thats nutz!!!!

I really don't think its possible with a CRT, but from a distance i bet you wouldn't see the line it probbaly have

No I will not be using the pt-22 in the finished blend. But I will start out with them and LCPs in the second P/J.

My plan is to stack first, then blend, then buy new LUGs for the final blend...... much later.

Unless I find another set of pt-22 next year. Smile

Hello

Nine foot screen width is the practical minimum, and that screen needs to be a 1.0 gain fabric like Stewart Snowmatte. HD10L is a good lens for that throw distance of 99", GT17s will not focus inside of 99 inches.

Thanks Tim.

So I will need HD 10 Ls on both machines. eeerrrrhhh this is looking like a long and expensive undertaking. If using GT17s what is the minimum screen size?

Do both of the Marquees need to be Ultra for Blending as well?

Hello

My throw distance on my 107" wide screen is 99" using HD10Ls, which are widely available at low cost. GT17s might work but they would be right at the minimum throw, not sure how edge focus would look. Ultras are nice but certainly not required. If you are travelling out west anytime, be sure to look me up.
