Where's the forum thread gone? ... for that matter, where's the link to the product on the main site?

Well so far no good!
V3 ext has arrived and I can't get a stable picture on any preferred resolution:
1152x864p@75
1920x1080p@48
1920x1080p@50
I get either no picture at all or the right hand part of the picture on the left side of the display and the left on the right with a gap in the middle.
I can’t find a link to a manual and the one or two things I have tried have failed.
I’m about to unplug and return.

Have u tried 3D-playback or "normal" playback?
Perhaps you have a problem with H-shift, have u tried to adjust it?
I have received my EXT V3 last week and normal playback was perfect.
3D playback didn't worked at all, perhaps this was a problem recognizing
my nvidia 3D vision glasses.
Anyway I have sent box back, hope replacement does better.

I'm not interested in 3D. I'm just trying to get 2d to work. Most of the time I get a "no imput" message from the G70 (unless i'm running a 60hz input). It appears the V3 doesn't like enything unless it's @60. I've given up and have requested a refund from Moome. It's the last time I have anything to do with HDMI.

hmmm.... I wouldn't give up so quickly.
I have an IFB V2 moome card in my 1292 and I must say it is very reliable. On the other hand
the resolutions should work... But anyway I would give Moome a chance, I am sure he is going
to fix the existing problems.

The manual for the V3 that came in email says this about HDMI supported display modes:
| Quote: | HDMI support mode table
Table 1
PC mode
640X480 60HZ 72HZ 75HZ 85HZ
800X600 56HZ 60HZ 72HZ 75HZ 85HZ
1024X768 43HZ 60HZ 70HZ 75HZ 85HZ
1152X864 60HZ 70HZ 75HZ 85HZ
1280X1024 43HZ 60HZ 75HZ 85HZ
1600X1200 48HZ 60HZ
1440X960 43HZ 60HZ 72HZ
HDTV mode
480P 60HZ
576P 50HZ
720P 50HZ 59HZ 60Hz 120Hz
1080I 29HZ 30HZ 50HZ 59HZ 60HZ 96HZ*1 120Hz
1080P 50HZ 59HZ 60Hz 24HZ*2 25HZ*2 29.9HZ*2
30HZ*2
1035I 30HZ
3D mode
720P 100Hz, 120Hz
640X480 100Hz, 120Hz
800X600 100Hz, 120Hz
1024X768 100Hz, 120Hz
1. need use powerstrip to set graphic card output this mode
2. EXT-FULLHD V3 support these modes, and will output these signal with same refresh
rate as same as input source, but most CRT projector are only support 30Hz-150Hz,
using such low refresh rate may let projector working with incorrect behavior.
3. when set component output mode, only HDTV mode will support (50Hz, 60Hz)
4. 3D mode only support at RGB output mode |
Given that, I wouldn't expect the 48hz mode to work, but the other two seem like they should be supported.
Got mine the other day (finally!) and it has been working great for me straight out of the box. Allowed me to rip out piles of old analog cables and put the Faroudja NRS up for sale on ebay...

ok- looked around the forum and concluded this as good a place as any. i realize that 3d is important to you higher ranking video magicians; for us apprentices eager to embark on a high definition adventure (ie- hdmi for crt via moome) the more basic question is: does v3 realize a discernable improvement over v2 in 2d? and if so is it dramatic? or... is it all about 3d? ive got hundred dollar bills burning a hole in my pocket to jump on a moome card but which one? currently running ps3 into farojia 401 into nec 135xg. any comments appreciated. thanks, david
