hi, trying to set my v2 to work with my sony vph-1031q, pj needs neg sync and v2 has jumpers that require setting, i think i need to set as:rgbhv with h- v- (as described on pg 14 of v2 user manual) but unable to find this verification in vph user manual, how/where can i confirm this ???

hi, thanks for responding, pg 14 shows at "jp74" four different positions, my 1031q requires "neg sync" - trying to verify if it is : "h+v-" or "h-v+" or "h-v-". do not want to cause damage or create usage issue (was trying to find "verification" in sony manual but unable to find it ?)--thanks, brad

you need set JP74 to enable RGBHV output mode, and let J4 J5 open to get H- V-

set as directed, connected, = flicker/static--blank screen, tried sw5 @ K sw 4 @ E + sel button, no change, have had similar sync problem with HD FURY 2, would not work with gamma x set for neg sync , had to connect with unit connected through extron sync converter to function -?, will reinstall "jumpers" and try through extron (but should i have to ??)

Be careful with the 1031. If you send too high resolution to it you can damage it. What resolution are you trying to get?

i have a bell hd set to 1080i and a ps3 set to 1080i connected and have been using an hd fury 2 with gamma-x connected so far with no ill effects, gamma x when set to neg sync will not "lock" and give good picture (have to route through extron sync converter with gamma-x set to "pass" in order to use), wanted to use "full hd-v2 set to neg sync to avoid using extron box, am going to try routing v2 through extron to see what happens (having source devices "locked" at 1080i could the v2 still send 1080p-?)

No it will not send 1080p. It doesn't upscale. Since you already have your sources set to 1080i you should be OK.

-had to reclose j4 j5 jumpers then use extron to fix sync, but did get a picture, unable to get it to "auto detect" between bell & ps3 (will auto to bell but have to push sel to get ps3 ?) also no detectible gamma adjust, put gamma-x back on & now able to adj gamma, picture looks "tighter"/clearer than with hd fury, now to go finish tweaks, thank you and as i see it analog does rock.
