|
|
Hi All,
I recently picked up the HDFury3 and was wondering if any one can help with the correct or best way to plug the cables into the Barco.
I can only get to 720p with a great pic but not 1080i. At 1080i the screen is very dim almost noy visible.
Your help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Moli

first, is it possible to have 1080i, 1080p on a cine7
if yes, you need a gammax and feed de cine 7 rgb signaal, i had the same problem with a cine 8 (very dark image)
with the gammax you can boost the "white" in the image.
the gammax is availble with the hdfury3
grtz

Your horizontal phase adjustment might be too low. As you ramp this up and down the image will dim (and if you have it too low on the edge the picture will dynamically dim)
I have a Runco DTV-940 (very similar to your Cine7) with a Fury2 (no gammaX). 1080i will end up being about 5% overscanned (at least on mine it has to be). I personally prefer the 1080i over the 720p.
Just to be clear on this as well, I see no brightness difference between 1080i and 720p (both are set to around 55 contrast and 53 brightness)

Hi,
Tried this with Gamma and can only get 720p and a very dim 1080i. Also added a BNC connector with the cable but still no help.
ANy ideas anyone on how to fix this?

I don't know what to suggest other then reseting the memory block associated with 1080i and starting the 1080i setup over again. My Fury2 is connected to my DTV-940 via the 5 wire RGB input. Perhaps make feature like your line tripling is turned off?

The Cine7LT has NO db9 input only RGB or component. Still no luck with getting it to 1080i

Have you tried to set gammax to negative sync from side switch?
Have you set Hphase correctly? Sometimes when it's way off picture is dim and is cropped from left or right side.
Adjust picture width smaller and go to Hphase setting. Adjust contrast to 10 and brightness to 70. Now you should see if there is any raster at picture left/right sides, when you look to tube through lens. If there is, you can adjust picture to little right from center using arrow keys. Still leave little raster to right also.

Then adjust picture width back to normal and center picture with raster sift.
If there is no raster at sides of picture, problem is your source. Many today sources have too small porch settings for analog crt with 1080i/p. If your player have 50/60 Hz refresh rate alternatives you can try other one, to see if there is any difference. Try with other source or with scaler if possible...
