Hmmmm..... You better come to my next meet!!!!!!
Alright so check it big dog, what do you think of that External M**me with 3D? I could drive that to an RGBHV splitter OR I could get the V2 Sony input cards but wont be able to do 3D with those?
I almost wonder if it is better to just go straight HDMI into the back of the G90's instead of having a analog conversion in between? I wonder if there will be a 3D option in the future for the Sony cards?
I plan on having a kiss the current tubes goodbye meet sometime between FEB and June with the G90's coming off the ceiling directly afterward for service and retube!

I am pretty sure the Internal card will handle 3D Cliff. Craig Rounds is using it for 3D and the radiance.
So I'd get the new internal Moome cards.
Hopefully I'll finally button up the blend calibration. I just got a Photo research PR650 from another Forum member to play with.
It had no power supply so we are waiting for a dummy battery pack and I have a power supply I think will work.
Hopefully the Pr 650 will work, it was sold as is not tested but worked before he sold it. So we'll see.

Damn you lucky bastard! That is the device that originally calibrated my stack.
Mind lending it to me for a week or two?
So using the V2 internal sony cards would be the way to go you think? I suppose I would have to use the radiance for 3D then right? I could probably also use my HTPC?
I'll tell ya big dog, it's been quite a long time since I've been this excited about my theater. Looking forward to the improvements!!!!!!!

Here's your screenshots Cliff.
It was one of the few switchers I have here, that will be going to the trash while I'm clearing out a lot of stuff I'll no longer be holding onto.
I really tried to get it ready when you were here, but between you requesting a third output and also saying you had changed your mind about coming this way. I set it aside, but with all I had going on, no way I would have had it ready at the time.
The third output was above my head. Two I could make happen reasonably without getting into impedance problems and such.
It's dual and matched outputs. It also has three of the latest (new) input cards they made with the jumper on the sync section. So you'll not have sync problems with those cards. The video chain has also been modified with both clean and higher bandwidth. You could use a Marquee input card, but it would have to be one of the later ones that I had instructed Moome on how to make it work in these switchers. Or go external HDMI.
All tested and ready to go. And for anyone else who might want one of these done. I can send you the instructions on how to do it yourself.

Big dog, I meant screenshots of the modded G90!
At any rate I'm extremely happy that we have passed the water under the bridge and moved foward. Thats how FRIENDS ROLL!
Looks like I better get that new Moome external ordered up huh? Really looking foward to showing off your work when I have my Cedia meet Mike! Maybe you'll be able to make it? You could ride out with Don Wallace or William!
Thanks so much Mike for making this happen!

Hey Cliff, I think you should consider two Moome internal cards. I know its a bit more cash but you'll have the HDMI to RGB conversion right in the PJ with the shortest video path that way. also less chance of any noise coming into cables.
But if its easier to set up with the moome External then go that route.
Just a suggestion.

Yeah I hear ya big dog but money is quite an issue right now so I think this will be the easiest route to take
Plus I already have two very nice canary cables driving the PJs now thanks to Tim Martin so I'll see how it turns out. If I don't like it, I could always sell the external and buy the internals. I should have a real good idea by january how well its going to work. You gonna come check her out when she is all done?

So your video chain is now Blu-ray >>Moome Box>>Marquee Switcher with 2 active outputs>> G-90's?
No processor?

Right now it would be with the new setup when I get it:
Comcast
BDP-83
PS3
Toshiba A35>>VP50>>Moome External>>Marquee Switcher>>G90's
HPTC>>Marquee Switcher>>G90's
Hopefully in the end it will be:
Comcast
BDP-83
PS3
Toshiba A35>>Radiance>>Moome External>>Marquee Switcher>>G90's
HPTC>>Marquee Switcher>>G90's

Mike did you modify the switcher itself or just the input cards?

The input cards used in this switcher is the direct/passive type. Their very last version that also allowed you to convert RGBS on the inputs to RGBHV out. The input cards has jumpers for that feature. All three input cards are brand new so being direct and new, there was nothing to really modify.
The modifications for the most part was done to the two output cards.
Hey, you also have one of these....did you get the modified Moome card based on the instructions I sent him on making them work in these switchers?

Yes, I ended up buying his test card and it seems to be working fine for the very limited use my projector has seen in the last 6 months. I was just thinking if your switcher was a modified version I might take that off your hands if your just going to junk it. I don't really need the dual output though........but then again??
