Can I keep using the VGA output on my motherboard when I install a new graphics card? Reason I ask is cause the new graphics card I want to install (9500 gt) only has a DVI output. I only have a VGA monitor.

You can but you will be limited by the onboard video chipset. Get a DVI to VGA adaptor like this:

and use your new video card
