Hi folks!

I know how nice cinemascope is when you are close up to it so i wanted to try it out.
This was like a wild card but i think it works out really well now. The screen width are 2.66 m / 8.7' screen and the wieving distance is about 2.9 x screen height.

The biggest concern was the light output on my ~0.9 gain screen but i got more punch in the white when using a less area on the phosphor
(at least on this machine)... I run it at 50 Brightness and 76 in Contrast (the same as i used for 16:9)

I also put in a smaller active area scanning to achieve 72hz... In fact it works well up to 84% of Full HD resolution before it starts to look bad (judder).
I prefer 72hz via reclock before a higher resolution. But i will perhaps try out 60Hz later.

I also did a more accuracy setup from scratch this time... but the screen fabric is temporary

I put in some screen shots

And a little clip Wink MVI_5112.AVI - 128.9 Mb

Funny it flew when I had it, maybe it was me, no way to be sure but I blamed it on the rug and sent it off to goodwill.

Very cool to see someone else doing a scope setup with a G70. I just began redoing my theater setup with a 2.40:1 aspect ratio screen running 1920x800p on my G70.

. What graphics card are you using with Powerstrip? I would like to buy another one, with at least 2 HDMI slots and no DVI, because my Nvidia GT430 doesn’t seem to be compatible. The newer the better..

Nvidia allows custom resolutions through its own driver. No need for powerstrip.

I can't create custom resolutions because the button for it is not lit, and don’t know how to either.

And what happens when you uncheck the top option and unplug the HP monitor, so you'd be using the projector as your display?

I don't see the whole image on 72Hz any longer. It's just like before, but with 60Hz, when you said to me to alter retrace to short and was solved. Now I can't do that. So what shall I do now? It's the width that's like missing 4 inches on each side.
