When you use the term "we came up with that one..." I think what you actually meant was "Chris came up with that one ..." Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Chris.

Yupper. You did. And it's working out great. Thumbs Up
After moving the screen to maximize raster I hung it with chain, and covered each one with black foam pipe insulation to blend them into the flat black wall behind the screen. I then attached powerful magnets to the ends which clamp to steel plates Liquid Nailed to the 'stage' overhang created by boxed-in ductwork.

The plan WAS to do the same for the 2 lower connection points but I soon realized that when I get around to carpeting I'd have had to come up with a new bottom attachment scheme. So I didn't go that route at the bottom. I'm currently using 2 pine 3x1 standoffs; one at each lower corner, secured to the screen frame, that just passively touch the wall.

Hindsight being what it is I would have scrapped the whole ubber cool chain and magnetics in the beginning and gone another route. As it is now, if the screen is bumped, it has to be repositioned to the pattern. Not a huge deal as nobody walks up there but it would be nice to run a line through something on the To-Do list for once. Laughing
