Exactly. What movies were released on CED that weren't also released (or at least re-released) on LD?
I guess what I'm getting at, is if you're going to watch one of the obsolete video disc formats to watch old movies, at least watch the superior of the two.

Laser disk was analog it was a frequency modulated signal for the video. They did get dolby digital and DTS towards the end of Laser Disk's run though.
I use to use the movie "The Rock" to demo the difference between Dolby Surround and Dolby Digital

It might seem like CED is more analog, but unless you're talking about PCM or AC-3 audio on LD, then not really. Even though LD used used pits and lands like a CD, the video signal was simply "encoded" with frequency modulation, very similar to what the CED system did with the capacitance groove.

I was trying to joke. I guess it does not come through the internet as well as I hoped. I just think the CED is a fun tech LD is better that is why it won.

There's a local pawn shop with a shelf full of CED movies. I'm sure they'll be there for a very long time, since they wanted $15 for a single disc. Well, unless some sucker comes in with a wallet full of bingo winnings and thinks they'll be valuable collectibles one day. Good luck with that.
Cult movies with covers in mint condition may be worth something significant, but they didn't have any of those.
