TV/Projector: All of them!

...as told to me by a customer:

I just bought a Crt Projector Electrohome and I need to purchase some parts from you.

MARQUEE 9000
MODEL N° 38-P13042-94
Serial N° 048640014
September 1994

Aparently this machine has been supplied by your company and shipped to South of France (NICE) about ten years ago after a serious overhaul. The tubes are in excellent conditions, no trace of raster and no leaks of glycol. The machine is in good working conditions. We tested it before purchase. However, I would like to make some improvements.

I think it says a lot that you are still in the business of fixing these things. I have had a couple of people call me recently and say "I used you like five years ago and I was hoping you were still in business.". Unfortunately for me, I still am. Congrats, Curt!

That is nice, but I wonder if the previous owner actually used it much at all. If I had a nice 9" CRT in the theater I would be putting 100 hours a month on it easily.

I like CRT for 2 reasons, the colors, and the size of the machine! I mean when you go to a friends house and see their normal TV, its hardly something you or your friend probably discuss...

Now you come to say my house and I have 3 of the beasts! what a centerpiece of discussion! I've actually managed to sell a couple of them to friends just because they think they are "theater quality" which IMHO they are better Very Happy

Plus, why would you pay $2000 for a 65" LED TV when you can have a 165" "tv" for the same price or less with better quality!

Go CRT!!!! Go Curt for making this website!!! Mr. Green (and of course to everyone else who helps make this place what it is, YOU GO TOO!! Mr. Green )
