Thats the old style HDM, it will have a very hard time doing 1080p. When I finally got mine set up correctly it fried that board.
Look for a new style HDM.

Um, unless I'm missing something, an 8000 should do 1080p just fine (limitations due to no astig and 8" tubes, etc).

They are old boards, but I have a feeling yours was on the way out.
