hi does anybody know if this little mod let the vdm run cooler or is the mod just for getting a small enough raster.
my current vertical size is on 19 and is alright, if this mod serves no other purpose other then getting the vertical size when you are not able to get the desired raster size for 16:9 or 22:9 purposes i will leave the resistors unchanged.

Hello

It expands the range of adjustment. Some virtual reality applications call for a very tall raster, HTers want shorter for anamorphic. The resistor change to 56k for R704, 804 and 904 will not necessarily affect temperature, running a shorter raster might.

ok tim thanks, but what do you mean with not necessarily.
my raster is setup for 16:9 and like i said needs a setting of 19 with the resistors probably 40 or 50 will the vdm then run cooler or doesnt it matter at all.

Hello

If you intend to run the same height then no difference.
