@Marc
I don't understand your question.
You want to know if the front place (ring with screwholes) in pictures is an adapter?
They are the original Barco frontal plates.
Read the topic in my signature, there are more pictures.
I am waiting a set of these lenses bought from a very kind user of this forum (thank you Jörg) Very Happy
I hope that they are compatible for my color corrected G70 c-elements, otherwise I will swap them with the original Barco c-elements (but they are clear).

Using the G70 c-elements in combination with the HD117-24 does NOT WORK !

I tried that 2 years ago the lens will not focus properly.

Anyone ever tried this ?

It may be possible but can the HD-134 be mounted easily on the Barco standard adapter ?

There are color filtered c-elements for these lenses?
If yes, which projector mount them?

I have read that only green c-element was made for HD117, but haven't actually never seen one for sell. Don't know which projector had it.

The clear c-elements that I have are similar at standard G70 type. Neutral

Ile,

does this mean hd18 and hd215 work with the same C-Elements???

That's my understanding, but I can remember wrong. Very Happy

...would be great for me, but can anyone else confirm that befor I try to get H18 lenses. It would not be tooo bad anyway because I have the G70 elements. But if they would work with the hd215 elements, I do not have to swap elements like I would have to if I use the 117-24. Sounds too good to be true! Someone got hd-18 here in Germany?

Best regards

Hello,

i also have had the HD-215 in use.

This lens type is regarding focusing very bad. You can get center focus properly but not the corners because of the missing corner knob.

I recommend not to use them.

Options are on my point of view:

1) small screen (up to approx. 1,57m width) use HD-117-12 (focus knobs for center and corners) with clear/colored c-elements. C-elements have to match the lens type otherwise you got problems on focusing.
2) larger screen (from 1,57m to ....) use HD-117-24 with clear c-elements
3) HD-18 with mounted G70 c-elements but some work to do with mounting the lens
4) HD-134 (rare to find) with mounted G70 c-elements also some work to do to mount properly

Thanks!

But how hard is it to mount the hd18 on hd215/117 projectors? What is the diffrence with mounting them on the projectors/holes?

Best regards

Hello decibel.

I guess you are projecting on a flat screen? I always ask myself how the 117-24 can handle a curve screen, and how much of it. I know from people her in Germany that the only 8" alternative hd18 (hd134 would be good for curve, but...) is very bad for curves. Perhaps if you change your setup one day, and have to change the focus anyway - you can make some tests if you are interested. Ohterwise I will hopefully finish my projects here as soon as you did yours, and will then post the results here.

Congratulations!

Hi Marc

My screen is flat.
Yesterday I have changed c-elements and frontal plates.
I must recalibrate all, optical and electric focus, scheimpflug, flare, etc

I hope to post results next week.
