So, I put a pg6200 in my parents place which has worked great for the last three years but recently started to not work properly intermittently. All I get when I start up the projector is a garbled mess across the screen similar to when my marquee projector isn't syncing. This is happening with or without a source being present. Where is the first place to start looking? All my prior experience is with marquee's.

Not sure I'm clear on the problem..
-Do you get normal menus when no signal is input?
-Are you sure you have the RGBH&V connectors on their proper inputs? It's easy to get off by 1 as there's an extra terminal there for ACAT

Even the menus are unreadable and that's what has me confused. IF the projector doesn't have any cables plugged in it should go to a internal timing for the the menus and everything right?

Bad system or deflection board usually. I've got spares if you need them, or can repair yours.

Probably is the board problem but make sure it's not just the 'red button'. Smile

Well guys, I went to the parents house and removed the suspect boards. Everything looked fine, no sign of burns on the boards or leaking caps so I cleaned all the connections and whalaaaa. I'm in business again. Hopefully it lasts.

Thanks for the insight guys.
