Does anyone know if they still make Super Tweeters like the old Radio Shack ones? The 1980s variety that just sets on top of your speaker. I can't seem to find them anywhere.
The main problem I have discovered with these 701s is that the front tweeter is crossed over so it doesn't put out any high sounds. Only the angles ones do and I don't like it. Rather than re-engineer the speaker I though I'd just throw a couple of super tweeters on top.

Just about any dome tweeter will do it. Put a 5 uf nonpolarized capacitor in series with the hot lead, and connect it to the main input terminals.
Those speakers would be a good candidate for those 'improve your center channel speaker' tweets that we gave a hard time to back a few months ago.
Or.. get some dome tweeters for a car stereo installation. Those usually come with the crossover cap built right in. I've got some cheap Pyramid ones in my Rav, they do the job just fine. Should be $25-50 per pair.

I'll look into those. Makes more sense than tearing the speaker up. Can I just wire them parallel with my speakers? I think the Bose are 6ohm. Weird how the Bose are crossed-over so the high frequencies don't come out the front

Bose isn't interested in accurately portraying the entire recording...ah nvm...

Yep, an extra load at the top end doesn't load the amp down any.
