Hi Mac, My Refrigeration guy had his Toshiba looked at by a tech and they said its his Hyper board.
I looked up on the net and found one thread where they said to replace all electrolytic caps.
From the looks of them they all look fine, I'll still change them but is there anything else I should look for on the board?
He had the wavy line symptom.

Ut oh. You posted in the wrong section. Your in trouble now.
Yes, recapping is the correct procedure but also carefully look for damaged traces from these caps. It is very common to find damaged traces. Post your outcome.
But like I told Chip, I'm only guessing at this stuff, lol.

Well Mac he put it in and was still doing the same thing. So i had him remove the entire chassis. I have it here and took off the mother baord that the Hyper board is soldered to. Looks like he or the other person who first removed it messsed up the ground
solder points on the mother board.
here is one side
The solder mask is tore off, I did not even want to start to remove what is done. On the other side it looks like they used a pice of copper wire to connect the cage pins due to possibly having the ground plane all messed up?
blurry pic sorry.
But before i can check the traces on the Hyper board I wonder if its even worth looking at after seeing this.
the one SMD resistor in the pic that looks like it was too close to his soldering reads fine.

Oh flashbacks.
Mac,
that looks like what I walked into with that torched sub amp that never made it to you.
It's still in the box with your old address on it
In my case, someone before me tried to fix it with a chainsaw and blowtorch I got it to fire up but there's still something missing connection wise.

Well this week i have to replace my Turbo in my EVO, so this will have to wait.
