From my 1271 green tube.

It's not easy to take a clear shot but I can assure you that the spot in the glycol bubble is an air bubble in the CRT glass.
There are two others in the same glass.

My question is: how is possible that a 20.000$ projector is made with bubble in the glass?????

Bye

If that IS an actual flaw in the glass...that little dot, that is....as long as it's not in the focal plane, it won't be seen in the projected image. Don't worry about it.

One of my tubes in my 1252 has a flaw in the glas of the CRT. Can't see it on screen though. So I don't worry about it.

I'm not saying that the bubble can be see on screen, but from a so expensive piece of electronic (at the time!) I would expect not to find bubbles in glass! Smile

However, nice to hear that is not just me!

Well, just look at the junk that Sony is putting out now. It all started with your glass..Wink

Cool, another picture for my Sony-crap scrap-book. I bet you can't say that ten times really fast. Laughing
