The set is an entry level set, but it should be able to be calibrated to look better than out of the box.

Attached is the report from ChromaPure using a Chroma 5 meter. The tracking and grayscale look good to me, but the gamma sure looks screwed up (and low), and the contrast ratio is lower after calibration than before. Any tips or suggestions on what to do to improve things would be greatly appreciated.

FYI, it only has COLOR & TINT for color adjustments.

My user settings are:

Picture Mode: Cinema
Contrast: 62
Brightness: 61
Color: 46
Tint: +19
Sharpness: 50
Color Temp: Warm
XV Color: Off
Video NR: Off
MPEG NR: Off
Black Level: Light
3:2 Pulldown: Auto

You adjusted the grayscale via the cuts and drives in the service menu correct?

Yes. I know of no other way to do it.
