I saw this board recently from Geo. It was being used on a digital, but it looks like it would be perfect for a CRT (and maybe digitals as well). From the brief demonstration, it looks like you could do both align and convergence with this board in the digital domain. Another cool feature was the ability to shape the picture just about any way you want. This could be a good device for Torus users. For digital users, they might be able to adjust for panel alignment errors as well as use curved screens. Any thoughts? Kim, could you build a box using this board?

Interesting. I'm going to check into them for a multiprojection project we're doing at Force Dynamics...

Hmmm, no interest? I would love to see this in a box for a couple of hundred dollars.

Nashoua, where are you.

Spanky this a development platform, so who's going to develop a box here.

Brightness adjustments, would be great. As would colourspace shifting as with that new LED set-up at avs.

Very interseting!
I have a 13 year old Hitachi RPTV with a 'Magic Focus' button that has had me wondering for a while about applying the same technology to CRTFP's. The Magic Focus doesn't actually focus anything IMO but rather performs a convergence off all three colors seperately.
I lack the tekkie know-how (try) to build it for our use but would appreciate some comments as to how it works and to see if it's at all feasible.
On the TV there's a two or three wire harness that runs all the way around the front lens that appears to be one part of the circuit, the rest of it is of course on-board and outside my understanding. PM's on this are cool so as not to hijack OP's thread; unless the OP is curious about adapting this too.
