so far I'm thinking the image quality is better than the PS3. I'm wondering if it's simply the renderer or the fact that I'm trying active area scanning? Maybe the active area scanning allows for a sharper pic??
At any rate, this thing was only 299 with windows 7 installed. The nvidia driver allows 3 decimal place precision when creating a custom resolution as well. So far so good...just need to ensure smooth playback with reclock and lpcm over hdmi.
One question though...I need an inf file that will work on 64 bit windows 7 which will allow me more access to different refresh rates. I grabbed Mikes G70 inf file and it simply didn't take it...any ideas here?

I went with 1280 x 600 at 59.94Hz....lots of depth and sharpness to the image. I would consider trying 47.952Hz as well...even less work for the projecor! I will experiment with higher resolutions, but I will only run them if they look better...

Ive tried 47.92 And the slight flicker doesn't bother me a bit plus much easier on the projector.

should be 47.952...are you using reclock?

Now that you mention it when I was using a scaler it was (as I remember) set to 47.952. Never tried an HTPC though...

Are you doing active area scanning vith your PC or with a processor?
I just bought a VisionPRO HDP and I'm trying to understand AAS, so here I am 
sorry for digging up such an old thread
