the g90 keeps dropping signal ,seems like it cant lock onto a signal, and i can hear the HV crack evry time it tries to ,this happens both on bluray ,satelite,it locks on for a bit then breaks ,especialy when programing changes eg commercials to main programme and back and forth
any advice whats up?

The setting to check is CLAMP. Also set that to H/C.

Smile Actually you were correct in that you need to check both. There is a CLAMP setting and another one called SYNC SEL.

But its the clamp setting that always seems to default to AUTO under some situations and throws people who haven't encountered the problem... including me.

As a side I'm still always amazed at how good the projector still looks after all these years....if fed the best quality HD content. Some recent releases from the Far East illustrate this perfectly. I was in awe at the image I was seeing from movies such as Red Cliff and Warlords. LOR Trilogy and Avatar are equally spectacular. The adage garbage in, garbage out applies equally well in the world of high end CRT's.

thanks that helped
do you guys have to register each resolution i.e 720p, 1080i, 1080p or do you use a scaler to output a single resolution for each source becuse 720p material from directv is not showing ,says no input A

Not sure if this answers your question but I have can use either 720p or 1080i from the Directv HD STB but in my case I'm going into slot B's HDMI card.

do you go directly from the bluray/satelite box to the hdmi card, or do you imput to a scaler then to the hdmi card

imput A is just not cutting it for me i may have to get the hdmi card

I go directly over HDMI to a slot B input card. No scaler for HD sources.
