I would like to output my Sony Vaio notebook to a DVD recorder for archiving streaming online clips for use in the classroom (I teach film and television courses). My Vaio has HDMI output that works fine hooked up to a TV, but no DVD recorders (that I've found) have HDMI input, presumably because of piracy concerns. (And again, I'm not interested in pirating anything, just in copying clips for classroom use, which I'm legally allowed to do with copy-protected DVDs at least) Might an HDFury device help me do this? Just curious if anyone has successfully hooked up a recent-vintage notebook to a DVD recorder or has any suggestions for how one might best go about it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
