Very interesting.
The 7X better vapor transmission coefficient is a great feature - in fact, the single one which makes me rebellow the projectors.
Re: epoxy paint... did you spray the chamber with the glass inside (covered, etc.) or without it? Aside from the protection, did you notice better contrast (due to less reflections)?

How about AC projectors? Would there be any improvement there?

It was just my test tube so i do not have it aimed at a screen. However i did just do a locals 9500LC who had a badly corroded blue LC chamber. After I did his set up and we watched some Avatar and a few scenes from DVE it looked really good. But I am used to AC marquees so looking at his LC really made me see what a difference LC machines can have in the image.
For painting I just used the Blue painters tape and followed the VHT Epoxy paint's instructions. a few light coats in 10 minute
intervals and then one heavier coat. I then added one more coat after and hour and let sit for a week. I wanted to make sure the paint filled in the pitted crevices in the aluminum. On mine its still holding up. On Greg's we will have to see as I only installed it about a month ago. But he is very happy with the overall look of his PJ. He said its like he got a new PJ even with slightly worn green and blue. He had very bad fungus on the blue and yellowing red and green glycol. It gets very humid here in Western NY state due to Lake Erie. So i think his glycol yellowed due to that. The blue fungus was due to no protection from the bare aluminum. You'll see corrosion in and black spot begin to form with in a month of glycol exposure.

The sample arrived today. I did a quick comparison...
The Anti-Freeze is as clear as the Glycol mixture or clearer. It's also looks closer to water (not thick) in comparison.
I need to get me a few small glass bottles with tops on them. I'll test both substances with both aluminum and steel screws in the bottles.

Let the games begin !
Mike don't forget to check the freezing and boiling temperature if you can.

i thought, that using water generates some reflection on the projection and isn't practicable!?

Never heard of that before but water has its own problems.

That is the whole reason for adding something to the water. The refractive index of the coolant should match the RI of glass to minimise reflections.

Today I installed the IceClear Anti-Freeze Heat Transfer Fluid into the RED CRT on my test bed 8500LC.

This stuff is definitely more clearer than the glycol. I put the RED CRT back in the set, and when I bring up the internal test grids, it's clearly brighter and sharper looking compared to the GREEN CRT which still has the glycol.
One thing, my test unit does not have lenses or is it setup for a screen display. I'm looking directly into the tubes. And doing it that way you can easily see how the glycol hinders the image. The RED CRT looks just like the surface of an AC tube.
I want to go ahead and install it in my 9500. The only thing keeping me from doing that is that I'd like to see what happens with this stuff in time.

I chose the RED because the GREEN was the sharper of the three. The GREEN was previously replaced and had the clearer glycol.
