Hello everyone. I have a NEC 6pg+ and I need to remove the video boards and CRT socket. I am sending them in for repair to Curt.

Could someone please tell me how to remove the CRT socket (blue, FYI) ? The projector is mounted on the ceiling. The video board I assume just needs removal of the metal cage screws.

... and yes I have already looked thru Curt's layout pictures.

Thank you in advance.

Pull the set down first.

In order to take out the CRT sockets, the tubes need to be moved forward, otherwise you have no room to take the sockets out. The video output board is held to the chassis by one screw that goes through the chassis into the heatsink at the top of it. Hard to see, it's on the side of the red tube I think.

I cant seem to find the screw holding the heatsink to the chassis. I have been trying for the past 30 minutes, but something is holding it back.

Curt/ anyone, any pointers on what to look for ? I tried feeling on the red tube side without any luck.
