HI everybody,
thanks for the help in all my past posts,

the last night, was my firts attemp to calibrated and adjusting the marquee 9000,(im spend 7 hours)
and was amazing the time,no movies,no dvd only test pattern and mq9000 set up,and open top case,

just like say in the manual for 8/9500?and the tips of nashu66,and all peoples for the mecanic adjustament was toldme,(read slow the manuals, first rule)

My trouble its so in the 3 lents the rasters image crosshast perfectly in the center with the arrow key menu,
but with a huge phosphor area around the
the lens, and thats reduce the life of the tubes,

the arrows keys in the remote, only center image top, bottom, left, right,

1-SOME BODY KNOW HOW I CAN DO TO Maximise THE RASTER UNTIL ARE THE PHOSPHOR ARE MINIMUS AND GET A LONG TIME FOR MI TUBES? 4:3

the barco use h-phase,but the mq9000 say phase only,no shift, the version its 2.6 of firmware,
with the phase i can tilt and fill the image? pic-1 or what solution are to fill the raste

2-AND MY SECOND QUESTIONS ITS SO WHY WHEN I MOVE THE ALLEN BOLTS(top and side on the left and right) not happen nothing noticeable in the screen of the wall and tube, with the ,b&r lents,

the only movement was to rotate the D & B bolts and move the full B&R lens, only the image apareace defocusen? no like the manual to match the crosshash

in never move o rotate the C BOLT ON THE TOP of GREEN LENS, (no say nothing the user guide),some body know why?

THANKS FOR READ MY POST AND SORRY BUT IM HAVE OCD,VERY PICKY,AND NEWBIE IN CRTS
i need to read more yet
Confused

Hi Fosgate,

ok so you used the On Screen mechanical set up. did you also loosen the A bolts? the hex bolts not only the Allen screws. you need to loosen those as well so you can rotate the red and blue lens's to match the green Grid(crosshatch).

I do believe there is a step in the mechanical that allows you to expand the size of the Grids, if not then after you line the grids up mechanically you can use the pic button on the remote or the Geometry button to adjust size. this will expand the grid to fill the tube face. Phase will shift the grid either up, down, left, or right.

Once you max out the grids, I leave about 10mm on each corner, you could go to 5mm if you want but its best to leave some room incase after you mount the PJ you need to move the raster over to one side or the other to fit the image on the screen.

Now that you have the raster on the tube maximized is when you move the Projector to fill the screen. press Color>2 to get only the green color to show. Use this to align to screen. use the geometry menu to get the green grid as best squared as possible for now, we will touch up later using Green Service convergence.

Once you have the location for the PJ finalized to the green grid redo the mechanical set up once again to get the red and blue best lined up to green before you use the convergence menu.

Now your ready for Green convergence to get the green grid all straight and square to screen. Press conv>5(service)>0>9>0>1>
Random Access, now look at the grid and if there is any straightening out of the green grid on the edges and any where else do it here. If you want to use geometry while in green convergence just press geo and those controls will come up if your software version allows it, when done using geometry press exit and it should go back to convergence.

Once green grid looks good press exit and save, now press conv button again and use interpolated and do the other colors.

That should get you started and i hope you understand.

by the way where are you located and what is your name?

in this moment itsa monday 12:30am here in mexico, im gonna try to read twice yours instructions and tips, and work with my mq9000,deltah10L lens,

im forget to comment so whe im follow your instruccions for guide the rasters, and im remember so the image inside of lents was filled the 3 lens, like the image from the tutorial pics,
im see the tube black and the crosshash fully big and cover almost part from phosphor area, only with the arrows im center perfect,mm between L to R.top, and bottom, and corners like this http://www.curtpalme.com/TubeRasterSetup3.shtm

but from strange reasson (my self)i erase the memory calls and start again, the image look like the 3 tubes match in the 45 zone,
im not sleep from the saturday yet,

Im work today and i hope follow step by step your tips, the A bolts are to support the lens to the top plate?,only i move ccw,cc the b,d(not c)with allen key, and the only i get its so the words in the screen are defocussed,

its the same case with the 2 knobs rear and front in all 3 lens release a little,
the image its the same defocused status with the words on screen test pattern and assistance guide, uggly, but the rotated of the lents the image are more sharp,NOT CENTERING, ETC like say the manual,

the electronic alligneament was im used to math the 45 zones,

THANKS SO IM GET A CRT HIGH END,FROM 15 YEARS AGO,

Welcom to Curt Palme Dave!!! there is a bunch of great guys here!

Hmm what City in mexico? maybe I need to take a holiday this winter Wink

The knobs on the lenses are for center/overall focus( the one near the tubes) and edge focus( the one in front of lens). Those should be adjusted to get a fairly good focus. then you looses the plate hex screws and allen screws so you can move the entire lens's left or right to try to get the grids as close to converged in the center so the electronic convergence does not have to work as hard.

there is also a RGB individual focus in the service menu, Utilities>service>0>9>0>1 > then the RGB focus. in here you can focus each color and the zones top, bottom, left, right.

Also , not trying to sell you my Bellows, but look at the rubber Bellow that hold the glycol between the lens and CRT Tubs face. make sure they do not leak or sweat. thet can cause damage to PCB's if it drip onto them.
