Hi all, I have just bought a marquee 8000 and I'm going to buy a set of tubes (red and green are new, blue is regenerated with 100 hours). The previous owner has replaced the rgb board (I don't even know what that is...) and the power supply.
He sold it for 100 eur, so I took it because I'm setting up a small home theater room. A friend of mine is going to help me with tubes replacing and calibration, he's expert in this kind of work.
I have a wdtv live (use to play blu-ray 1:1 rips in TS format) and a denon 1920 dvd player, how can I connect them to the vpr? I also have a denon 1509 HT receiever: I could use it for switching hdmi or component signals (it's collecting dust, I don't use it for audio). Budget is the word, I don't have a lot of money to spend but I'd like to get a decent quality.
I've read that some people are having problems with h-shift using the hdfury1, should I be afraid of this? Is it best to use hdmi or component?

Hello Francesco, Get a Moome card and plug it into the back. A used V1.2 runs about $150. to $200. Run HDMI direct and For an all original untouched 8000 I recomend 1080i direct from BD player.

Ok, I will post asap.
One more question, but maybe this should go in Video Processors forum: I will use pal dvds and .ts files encoded at 23.976, 24, 25 and 30fps. I've read that CRTs cannot handle such low fps: is it true? How can I solve this? Can a dvdo iscan hd+ help me here? I've seen one for sale (230eur, is it a good price?) in italy.
If I'm OT here I'll post in the correct forum, just point me there...
