I'm installing a BD808 that I recently bought from Curt, and I'm having trouble getting the crosshairs to line up. I was able to align the 3 tubes horizontally by loosening the bolts and adjusting. But the cross hairs are misaligned vertically. I was able to adjust the red vertical position trimpot on the vertical board to bring the red in alignment with the green, but I reached the limit on the blue trimpot before I could bring the blue tube in alignment with green. The green was still too low.

So, was I correct to try to adjust this using the vertical position trimpots? If so, what's the next step now that I've reached the limit?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

That's weird! THe green is the reference, so the R and B adjust to that. If the green itself is too low, the projector will need tilting itself, as there's no adjustment for the green tube. You can do a bit of raster shift within the geometry menu, but it's not a lot. The trick is to use the trimpots on the V board to align the '+' mark in the 'install' menu, then shift the whole projector up or down physically to get it centered on the screen.

I'm not worried about centering the image on the screen since I'm projecting on to a dome. So, if I was correct in trying to adjust the pots on the V board, then I think I can adjust the vertical position using the raster shift for the rest of the way. I was close to the green cross hairs when I reached the limit on the blue.

Thanks Curt.
