|
|
I've just installed a new (lightly preloved) blue tube with all housings attached - but now the blue tube horizontal focus is off It looks wide and fuzzy on the raster while the vertical seems ok.
Is there something I've missed?
I did notice that the neck of the tube had one less pin than the tube I took out - is that normal in G70 tubes?

Have you tweaked the 2 pole magnets and then adjusted electronic astig?

I've been working on in tonight - without the EM focus on it's pretty blurry, (whereas the other tubes are tight focus) - even with Em focus on its only OK
I haven't tried lens flapping or pole magnets yet (is that the G2?)
This post seems to suggest that the C blocks aren't necessarily interchangeable between PJ's...anyone else had this experience?

Lens flapping will not affect the centre of the tube.
No, the 2 pole magnets are not G2. They are the little magnets on the very end of the tube.

Use the original neckboards (C blocks).

Before you adjust the 2-pole physical magnets, be sure to enter the service mode and reset ALL blue focus parameters back to 128. This includes 2-pole, 4-pole, and anything else. After that defocus blue in the service mode to enlarge the dots when doing the 2-pole physical setup.
