I am wanting to output 1080i/96 to my G70 from the Lumagen HDQ. Jim @ Lumagen verified that it can indeed output this resolution but he was unable to give me the timing info. I am inputting to the latest Moome card. If anyone can please provide the correct timing info (NOT for outputting from a PC card) I would be very grateful!

Thanks Smile

Yes it will. you can try the NTSC multiple which is 95.904 Hz.

Thx for the reply. Can you please provide the full timing info for the Lumagen HDQ when outputting 1080i/96? I'd greatly appreciate your help! I assume the latest Moome HDMI card will handle 1080i/96 even if I'm not outputting from a PC using Powerstrip?

Thank you again!

Hi Bitwize, use this resolution editor to figure out what timings to start with:

Its a downloadable program.

http://tvone.CRMdesk.com/image.aspx?mode=file&id=385

it will show you the total, front porch, back porch, sync etc.

Did you try just outputting the frequency and the moome had problems? You should not need the full timing info as the Lumi should be doing the "right" timings when you enter the output frequency.

Thx for this link! I have generated the settings for 95.904 (NTSC multiple), so hopefully they will work. Also, should I use the Vesa CVT or Vesa GTF settings?

The last time I tried that it was not syncing Sad I might not have been using 95.904 though.

This might be a moome issue where it needs non-standard times with reduced porches or something. I'd try frequency first, then ask on the moome forum what timings it needs if it doesn't work.

I think the CVT, and select interlaced. From there if it does not sync you can try different syncs timings, add to it a few at a time but then you have to alter the other timings so they all add up equally.

so Total pixels should add up to Actual+front+back+sync.

If you add three pixels to sync then add 3 to back or front. It might shift the image over to one side, then you would use the PJ's shift control to compensate.
if you need more room add total pixels and adjust the rest to match. Adding total pixels is one way to get rid of raster ringing .

Also i have thrown lots of different resolutions at the moome card, it had no issues with any, it was always PJ related.
