I dont know what to do!!!!!! I still keep getting the fd fault on my 991. I switched out the hv board and no joy. Would it be easier to put the tubes in my xg75 instead of messing with my 991? The 991 looks like it was babied but I get that code. Any suggestions? Could I maybe call someone to give me a rundown on things? Evil or Very Mad

I was under the impression the HV board was calibrated to the particular set, but im not sure if its that or something else. What is a 991 equal to in the NEC? Are the tubes the same part number? If they are and the NEC works fine, may as well put the tubes into the NEC and use it while it works unless someone else comes along and has a better option.

An Fd errror can be a bunch of issues.

-HV board (calibrated to your specific set, a different working one can still give an Fd error code
-power supply
-H board
-any of the system boards in the card cage.

is switching the tubes a daunting task? Is it pretty much the same as the imstructions in the advanced procedures page for the pg?
