Hey Mark, thanks for clarifying the 1080i 96 as also being 1080/48i. That explained why I couldn't find the 1080i96 res as an option on my P/C. I'm learning a lot here on this thread. Tentatively from what I have fooled with it looks like the 1080i output by my BD-55 is better than anything usable that I have tried from my P/C. Right now I have it set up as 1080P, 1920X848@60Hz, but this is a softer image than 1080i from my BD-55, just as you predicted.

To all interested parties who have tried to help. I ran a HD-15 cable from my P/C which is in my "home office" about 65feet away from my Projector which is located in my "Family Room." The cable run introduced ghosting which I suspect is being caused by a small impedance mismatch somewhere in my chain of connections ( a total of seven to route the video conection from room to room and feed through devices).

Anyhow, I did get the signal through to it's destination, and the bottom line was that ( aside from the ghosting) the 1080i output from my Panasonic BD-55 ended up being better than any P/C output that I tried. ( Including 1080i from P/C vs 1080i from BD-55). I guess my $400 Pro NVidia card doesn't trump my $300 BD-55.)

I started a new thread in attempt to resolve the ghosting issue but so far no one seems to know any more than I do with regard to a solution. Looks like my set up is too complicated to get a clean HD-15 cable signal from the P/C to my Projector. My next step will be to experiment with "networking" my P/C's audio and video/files through my Tivo.
