best place is to go to the local dump or drive around on trash day. All, and I know for sure all Mitsubishi RP TV's from 1998-xx at least have first surface mirrors.
Glass does not mean first surface. The difference is quite striking between the two.

Correct. Your typical glass mirror has its reflective surface on the back side of the glass, for protection of the silvering. It's also going to
have a protective coat of paint (usually grey) over the silvering on the back.
A first surface mirror is silvered on the surface closest to the screen. There are no internal reflections as there are with a rear surfaced
mirror, but the surface is more delicate by far and can be easily scratched or damaged.
Incidentally, I have also seen a few plastic first surface mirrors. They were good but not great. It seems that getting
a piece of plastic that size optically flat is not easy or cheap to do.
