Recycling? What's that!? Shocked

The only thing recycled in this stupid province is paper/cardboard and any beer, liquor, drinking container or 'stuff' juice comes in. And I live in Paradise, meh. I emailed the town council where to dump off used motor oil, as most garages bitch to much cause I'm not paying a shop fee, they had no idea... I feel like dumping it in their parking lot to smarten up the lazy bastards.

At least we finally have a local electronics recycler now.

A week ago I contacted an electronics recycler in Milwaukee about possibly being notified when CRT projectors came through so I could look them over and possibly pick them up and put them back into useful service. No reply in over a week. Their website preaches GREEN all over the place but as soon as somebody tries to practice it I think all they see is lost $$. Jerks.

Do they get a lot of CRT projectors in though? It's not like they're a dime a dozen. I only know of 4 around here and that's shared between me and my father.

We're good at tossing things in the dump around here. I saved up 40 milk cartons in hope after 2 years someone would take them... nope. I'm growing corn in them right now until transplanted then they'll be trashed, sigh. I compost most every thing I can and my weekly trash is often less than a grocery bag.

Sadly it's all about profit. I hate tossing anything out as it can and should be made back into something else. Perhaps in a 100 years.

My favorite quote of all time by 'John Luke Picard'

"The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives. We work to better ourselves and the rest of Humanity." (Star Trek: First Contact)

I thought I was smart, but had to look at the pic like 5 times until I stopped wondering "where's the CRT?". Laughing
